What's the best mattress for a 250 lb side sleeper

I'm about 250 lbs and sleep on my side. My current mattress is causing shoulder and hip pain. I need something that won't sag and provides good pressure relief. Budget is around $1500. Any recommendations?

At your weight, you'll want a hybrid with strong coil support and a thicker comfort layer. Look for something with pocketed coils and at least 3 inches of memory foam or latex. Avoid all-foam beds; they tend to break down faster for heavier sleepers.

I'm 240 and side sleep too. The Titan Luxe from Brooklyn Bedding worked for me. It's firm but has enough give for pressure points. Might be at the top of your budget though.

Check out the Saatva Classic in firm. It's a hybrid and has good edge support. I'm 260 and it's held up well for two years.

Latex might be a good option. It's durable and sleeps cool. But it's bouncy, so if you're sharing a bed, that could be an issue.

Latex is durable, but can feel too firm for side sleepers unless you get a softer ILD. Also, it's heavy. Moving a latex mattress is a workout.

What about the WinkBed? They have a luxury firm that's rated for heavier folks. i've seen good reviews from side sleepers around 250.

I tried the WinkBed and it was too firm for me. Felt like sleeping on a board. But everyone's different.

Has anyone tried the Bear Elite Hybrid? It's supposed to be good for athletes and heavier people.

I haven't tried Bear, but I'd recommend checking the warranty. Some brands prorate or have limitations for heavier sleepers.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm leaning towards the Titan Luxe or Saatva. I'll see if there's a showroom nearby to test them out.

If you can't test in person, make sure the return policy is generous. Some companies charge fees for returns.

Also consider the base you're using. A solid platform bed can make a mattress feel firmer. If you have a box spring, it might be adding to the sagging issue.

One more thing: rotate your mattress every few months. It helps prevent uneven wear, especially for heavier sleepers.

Let us know what you end up getting. I'm curious how the Titan Luxe works out for you.
